When Kohler stole the limelight at India Design 2019 with the world’s most advanced toilet, Numi

A convergence of design, sustainability and technology, the Kohler pavilion at the recent India Design 2019 showcased the concepts of minimalism and maximalism.
Kohler, the global lifestyle brand, successfully showcased its range of luxury products at India Design 2019. The theme was Spectrum of Modernism, which is an oeuvre of two contrasting ideas — maximalism and minimalism.
The two ends of the spectrum were expressed through varying manifestations in technology, materials, patterns, and choice of colours, including the display at the exclusive ID Symposium, which showcased five artist-edition sinks and curated tables.
Designed by the award-winning Visarg studio, the Kohler pavilion displayed products ranging from artifacts and component faucets, artist editions like Dutchmaster, Marrakesh, Derring, Gilded Meadow and Veil Intelligent Toilet. Several state of the art and innovative new products such as the Kensho vessel, Alexa-enabled Verdera Voice Lighted Mirror, Veil Lighted Mirror, India Inspired colours such as peacock and thunder grey, and the world’s most advanced toilet, Numi, stole the limelight. Speaking on the occasion, Salil Sadanandan, president, Kohler K&B India, Middle East and Sub Saharan Africa, said, “For a company that has believed in staying at the leading edge of design and technology for over 145 years, building a close relationship with the design fraternity is very important. Associating with ID 2019 as symposium partners provides us the platform to continue a dialogue with the people that inspire us the most — architects, designers and creative leaders from India and around the world. We showcased some of our most innovative and technologically advanced products that will give a glimpse of our vision for the future of bathroom design.”

The Kohler booth saw attendance from several architects and designers who participated in a tile-making workshop conducted by Kohler’s Theresa Millard as part of Kohler’s Waste Lab program.
