When Jaipur Watch Company's Gaurav Mehta had a fanboy moment with Rahul Dravid
It’s often felt that heroes have feet of clay. But for Gaurav Mehta, founder of Jaipur Watch Company, meeting his idol was an unforgettable experience.

Mehta, a fan of cricketer Rahul Dravid, would often send him fan mails as a kid. However, he never imagined that Dravid would actually grant him an audience. “Last year, I got an email from him saying that he’s coming to Udaipur and if I would like to meet him there. I was pleasantly surprised, to say the least,” said Mehta.

Recalling his meeting with the former cricketer, Mehta said that while he was waiting for Dravid to arrive at a hotel, he saw a pile of cricket bats lined up in a corner. “I asked Dravid about it later and he casually said that they were there for him to sign.” While Mehta was nervous, he said Dravid made him feel at ease.

“I think he noticed that I was quite tongue-tied. So he asked if I wanted to take some pictures with him,” said Mehta, with a smile.
