When Harsh Goenka discovered the hidden lessons behind school punishments
Trust Harsh Goenka to find the silver lining in a dark cloud. The RPG Enterprises chairman, who talks everything from business to Bollywood on Twitter, recently shared his thoughts on school punishments and their bigger picture with a caption -"Many of us have gone through these punishments in school. Here are their deeper lessons."

According to Goenka, when a student is asked to kneel down, it is a lesson in humility. When told to hold his/her ears, it is to teach them to listen more.

The business leader, perhaps, drew these conclusions from his life as a student at St Xavier's School, Kolkata, and its famed dean, Father Bouche's cane. Goenka's Twitter followers and school mates too thought the same, and soon started to reminisce. "Father Bouche was one of the greatest 'Prefects' of SXC. He had three 'Cs' Coffee. Cigarettes. Cane. God bless him!" wrote one user, to which pat came Goenka's response -"Have been a victim of Fr Bouche several times."
