When Govinda carried a 4-year-old Krushna Abhishek to Vaishno Devi on his shoulders

Actor and comedian Krushna Abhishek recently shared a touching video on Instagram, showcasing a cherished memory involving his maternal uncle, Bollywood star Govinda. In the video, Krushna reveals how Govinda prayed to Goddess Vaishno Devi for the birth of a son for his sister.

The video is a throwback to an episode of the talk show "Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai," hosted by Suresh Oberoi. During the episode, Govinda appeared alongside his wife, Sunita Ahuja. The snippet features Suresh Oberoi recounting Govinda's vow made to his sister. He had promised that if his sister had a son, he would carry the child to Vaishno Devi on his shoulders. The video shows Govinda explaining that after Krushna's birth, he felt an immense sense of happiness.

After working tirelessly for 2-3 years, Govinda said he felt it was essential to fulfill his vow to visit Vaishno Devi. Once Krushna was old enough, around 3-4 years old, Govinda carried him to the temple. Upon reaching, he was so moved by the sight of the mountains and the divine presence that he sat down, supported by fellow devotees.


"I made him sit on my shoulders, and looked at Vaishno Devi and saw the mountains in front of me. There was a miracle, as many devotees present there supported me in carrying Krushna," he said.

In the clip, Krushna is seen dancing with Govinda to the popular song "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan." Krushna reflected on the significance of Govinda’s vow, stating that if his uncle had not made the promise, he would not be where he is today.
