When Dhoni showed dedication in getting a temporary tattoo

It's common knowledge that Indian wicket-keeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni doesn't have a tattoo on his body. Not because the former captain does not believe in getting inked but because he is afraid of needles - whether it's in the hands of a doctor or a tattoo artist.

While Doni's needle phobia prevents him from getting a permanent tattoo, he was more than happy to sport a temporary bike tattoo for a television commercial a few years ago.

The tattoo in question - a sport motorcycle on his right bicep - was done by Micky Malani, cofounder of celebrity tattoo studio BodyCanvas Tattoos & Piercing and Malani recalls it as his best experience working with a celebrity.

"He was part of the tattooing process from the very start. He wanted to know the design of bike we chose to tattoo and how will it be placed on his arm, how it will look and for how long would it stay on his skin," Malani told ET Panache. "When I met him (in person) he is actually the captain cool that you keep hearing on TV.He was fun on the set and so humble and charismatic in person."

But the thing that impressed Malani the most about inking 'Captain Cool' was Dhoni's dedication to the craft despite his needle phobia.

"I remember we were in the middle of the tattoo and someone kept coming in and out of the van for some or the other message for him or phone call.(However), he told the person not to bother him until the tattoo is done because I (mentioned) I wouldn't be able to concentrate and make a good tattoo if the van kept moving."

To date, Malani counts MS Dhoni and Priyanka Chopra as his favourite celebrity tattoos to ink.
