When Dhanush bought EPL tickets in black for his kids!

Aishwarya Dhanush is the wife of a movie star and daughter of a superstar, but Aishwarya tells ETPanache that her childhood was as normal as it could be, despite having Rajinikanth for a father. In Mumbai to unveil her memoir, Aishwarya gave a glimpse into her not-so-starry life. “He (Rajinikanth) has kept his brand image out of the house and has never behaved like a star at home. I have to give credit to my mother for filtering it all out for us at that age,” she said. Aishwarya now strives to do the same for her children, given her husband, Dhanush’s stardom.

However, there was one time when the kids did feel that their father was a star, Aishwarya said, recalling when the family bought tickets in black to watch a Manchester United vs Arsenal soccer match in the UK. “My kids are huge soccer buffs, but we didn’t have tickets. Dhanush did not want to disappoint them, so we drove down and got tickets in black, which were crazy expensive, but we got good box tickets,” she said with a laugh.
