In a candid revelation dating back to 2013, Deepika unveiled her aspirations for the years ahead, shedding light on her desires for motherhood and family life. The actress expressed her vision during a roundtable discussion with renowned journalist Rajeev Masand.


"If I was not an actor I don't know what I would have been doing. But hopefully with some children around. Three little kids, scuttling about. Hopefully, be working enough to take them to shoots. Have a happy family. And at the same time, still doing what I am doing," Deepika articulated, reflecting on her aspirations with heartfelt simplicity.

"I hope that when Ranveer and I start a family, we're able to do it the way I experienced it as a child with my parents. Just rooted, wholesome and secure."

The couple, who tied the knot in a picturesque ceremony in Lake Como, Italy, in November 2018, has been open about their desire to start a family. Their journey began on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Ram Leela" in 2013, where their on-screen chemistry blossomed into real-life romance, captivating audiences in subsequent films like "Padmavaat" and "Bajirao Mastani."
