Any visit to India is deemed incomplete without a glimpse of the Taj Mahal. The same is the case with the Pyramids of Egypt. For Magnus Toveberg, executive director (India, Middle East and Asia) of watch brand Daniel Wellington, he’s seen and loved both.

“The intricate details, like the carvings and craftsmanship, are impressive. I lived in Egypt for two years and visited many pyramid sites, but the first time I saw one, I was mesmerised. It is a reminder of times that were,” he says.

A history buff, Toveberg’s most memorable visit to a historical site was a trip to Byblos in Lebanon. “It’s the oldest city in the world and the archaeology there is stunning.” We couldn’t agree more.
