When British Airways let their tweets do the talking to Indian cricket coach Anil Kumble

British Airways (BA) is a quick learner. From being a trending topic for losing one Indian cricket icon's bags, to being praised for their witty tweets after another's were delayed, the airline has come a long way in just under a year.

This time it was the newly-appointed coach of the Indian cricket team, Anil Kumble. After a long flight from Mumbai to St Kitts for the Caribbean Premier League, Kumble realised British Airways had left a part of his luggage back at Gatwick airport (London), during a stopover. The airline was quick to contain any possible fallout from the situation, and tweeted:

Looks like in applauding the air -line's response this time, the Twitterverse has finally forgiven the British carrier. Last year, BA lost Sachin Tendulkar's bags when he flew to US for the Cricket All Stars matches. The airline asked Tendulkar to send them his details via a direct message on Twitter, causing outrage. At the time, BA told ETPanache, "To allow for the social teams to quickly resolve an issue, they require the details of the person flying which aren't always the same as the person tweeting." What changed this time? BA does not wish to comment, preferring to let their tweets do the talking.
