According to the account, shortly after her marriage to Ganpatrao Bhosle, the singer had considered stepping away from her musical career to focus entirely on her household responsibilities, becoming a housewife.
The biography notes that Asha Bhosle expressed a desire to dedicate herself to raising her first child, Hemant, and managing her home. However, it is mentioned that her husband did not support the idea of her quitting music and insisted that she continue her singing career. The book suggests that, left to her own choice, she might have walked away from playback singing altogether, an alternate path that could have changed the course of Indian music history.
