Anil Kapoor on receiving a compliment
Recalling the memorable moment, Anil Kapoor shared that the cinematographer had praised his versatility as an actor by comparing his craft to that of a classical singer, someone capable of effortlessly mastering every note, scale, and nuance with precision. The comparison left a lasting impression on the actor, not only because of its uniqueness but also because it acknowledged the depth and flexibility he brings to his performances.
However, true to his grounded nature, Anil Kapoor responded with humility. The actor emphasized that Indian cinema has been home to countless extraordinary artists far greater than himself. Anil Kapoor cited the examples of legendary names such as Dilip Kumar, Motilal, Naseeruddin Shah, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Irrfan Khan. While he deeply appreciated the compliment, Anil Kapoor viewed himself as merely a small contributor within the larger fraternity of immensely talented actors who have shaped Indian cinema’s legacy.
