When a wheelchair-bound Akbar Padamsee met Thota Vaikuntam
It's always wonderful to meet old friends, especially when they drop by to wish you on a special day. Artist Akbar Padamsee paid a surprise visit at Jehangir Art Gallery last week, just hours before Hyderabad-based artist Thota Vaikuntam's solo retrospective exhibition.

A wheel-chair bound Padamsee came to the exhibit much before the crowd gathered, accompanied by his wife Bhanumati, and was keen to see the artist's earlier works.

The 200 works were curated by Manvinder Dawer of India Fine Art Gallery.

Also seen at the exhibit were Lalia and Ricky Lamba, Ekta Raheja, Sanjeev Patel and Tania Deol.
