WhatsApp to stop working for some smartphones from Nov 1. Here's how to check if your device will be impacted
Users can check if the app will work on their smartphones by checking their device's OS.

According to news agency IANS, the texting platform will cease to support systems running on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, iOS 9, and KaiOS 2.5.0, from the date.
Users can check if the app will remain compatible with their smartphones by checking their device's OS.
Android phones likely to be impacted by this includes products from Samsung, LG, ZTE, Huawei, Sony, Alcatel, among others.
Earlier it was reported that WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow its users to hide their 'Last Seen', which shows the time you were last active, to select few contacts. As of now, users can share their last seen status with everyone, their contacts or hide it from everyone.
The app is reportedly also testing another feature to let users react to messages with emojis, similar to the feature present on its parent company's Messenger and Instagram Direct Messages.
