WhatsApp starts rolling out 'Message Yourself' feature in India: How it works
This chat will only be visible to you and can also only be accessed by you.

The feature was earlier released for a few beta users for testing. With the help of this new feature, WhatsApp users can now send notes, reminders, shopping lists, and other things to themselves in order to manage their to-do lists.
This chat will only be visible to you and can also only be accessed by you. Nobody else on WhatsApp will be able to see the content that you share on the chat.
While the feature has just arrived on WhatsApp, the ability to chat with yourself has been available on Telegram, which is the instant-messaging platform's rival. Telegram has had the feature since the beginning of its existence.
How It Works:
In order to use WhatsApp’s new feature, open the application on your phone. Now click on create a new chat, now you’ll see your contact card at the top of your contact list.
Click on that and then start messaging yourself.
Before Meta introduced this feature on WhatsApp, users couldn’t text their own contact card. In order to have a secure chat with themselves, users earlier would create a group with anyone from their contacts and kick other members, retaining only them in the group.
This allowed users to share their personal information, and list other data that they didn’t want to save on their smartphone or elsewhere.
Meanwhile, as per recent updates, the social network will soon allow users to upload voice notes as their Status Update on WhatsApp.
