WhatsApp may soon allow you to 'undo' deleted messages and retrieve them

As of now, the Meta-owned platform gives you two options for deleting the text: 'Delete for me' and 'Delete for everyone'.
Have you ever sent a message to someone on WhatsApp and then immediately deleted it and regretted doing so? Well, now the instant-messaging platform is coming up with a new button which will undo this on the app.

WhatsApp rolled out the 'delete message' feature a while ago, which brought a sigh of relief for users as they could delete their text if there was an error. However, there was no option of retrieving those deleted messages.

But according to recent reports, WhatsApp will soon launch an 'Undo' button which will retrieve your deleted messages in the chat.


As of now, the Meta-owned platform gives you two options for deleting the text: 'Delete for me' and 'Delete for everyone'. This feature as come in handy for many who often make errors or typos when typing on a smartphone.

While 'Delete for me' means the text is deleted from the chat for the person using the feature, 'delete for everyone' makes the text disappear for all in the chat. However, there's a time frame in which these features are available.

According to recent reports, WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will pop-up on the screen as soon as user press the 'delete for me' option to ask whether you wish to undo the option and retrieve your deleted message. There will be a limited time frame to make said changes.
