Kamath has been in the spotlight after receiving the prestigious EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award 2024 (EOY). Recognized for his innovative low-margin, high-volume strategy, he has reshaped the brokerage industry. A self-made entrepreneur, Kamath along with his brother Nikhil catapulted Zerodha into a billion-dollar company while actively investing in fintech and climate-focused startups. He is also a strong advocate for social initiatives.
His brother, Nikhil Kamath, shared a heartfelt message celebrating Nithin’s achievement. He acknowledged their resilience, especially after losing their father and facing personal health challenges like a brain stroke. Nikhil’s message emphasized the importance of optimism in a world that often focuses on the negatives.
Zerodha through its foundation also supports many start-ups in climate space, health and social initiatives.
Meanwhile, Zerodha’s investment arm, Rainmatter, has led a TD 16 crore pre-Series A funding round for health and wellness startup Allo Health. Existing investors also participated in this round. The funding will drive Allo’s expansion of clinics, AI-powered treatment protocols, and patient-focused healthcare innovations.
Allo Health currently operates over 35 clinics in cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mysore, and Ranchi. The company aims to strengthen its ecosystem with investments in diagnostics, digital therapy, and private-label solutions. It is also exploring an expansion into mental health, aiming to replicate its structured, expert-led model for comprehensive healthcare solutions.
Previously, Allo Health raised $4.4 million in seed funding in 2022 from Nexus Venture Partners, Flipkart’s Binny Bansal, Zomato’s Deepinder Goyal, and others.
