The Kharghar Valley Golf Course witnessed an exciting golf tournament last week, the CIDCO Masters Cup 2021, on February 20. Olympic medallist Leander Paes was among the attendees, as were several golfers associated with prominent golf clubs. Eknath Shinde, Cabinet Minister of Urban Development and Public Works (Public Undertakings), Government of Mahatrashtra, also attended the event.

The golf course, developed as per international standards, is in the process of being upgraded from a nine-hole course to an 18-hole course. Thus, more prestigious national and international tournaments can be organised here, also giving a fillip to tourism, and amplifying living standards.

“The Kharghar Valley Golf Course is an addition to the exquisite infrastructure of the locality, making it the most modern and developed node of the satellite city. It lends itself to augmented commercial, social and cultural development, thereby amplifying the standards of living in the city,” said Dr Sanjay Mukherjee, vice-chairman and MD, CIDCO.


Suburb in demand In the future, owing to its smooth transit connections, a corporate park, housing schemes, and proximity to the Navi Mumbai International Airport, Kharghar will become even more sought after. It already boasts of excellent infrastructure facilities, efficient transportation, reputed schools and colleges, and affordable housing.
