What keeps Indian women engaged on Twitter? News, communities among top 5 conversation themes
33% of women use Twitter while commuting and 29% log on during breakfast.

From #SareeTwitter to #LockdownRecipes, women loved tweeting about their everyday experiences, with Chennai and Mumbai leading these conversations.
With a 24.9 per cent share, passion points and interests emerged as the top conversation theme among women in India. Fashion, books, beauty, sports and entertainment were the most-talked about interests.
Current affairs (20.8 per cent), celebratory moments (14.5 per cent), communities (11.7 per cent) and social change (8.7 per cent) also featured in the top five conversation themes among women on Twitter.
20.8% of women said they use Twitter to stay informed on local and international news.
Chennai led the conversations around celebratory moments, creative showcase and everyday chatter, while Bengaluru dominated chatter around communities, social change and shared challenges. Guwahati led conversations around passion points, interests and current affairs.
Nearly 41 per cent women said they discovered a new interest on Twitter. Some women in India use Twitter to express their personal inhibitions and fears.
