Considering the hotel's proximity to the Apple headquarters, it is quite tech savvy. Aloft Cupertino shot to fame following its employment of a three-foot-tall 'A.L.O. Botlr' robotic butlers that will deliver towels at the pool, call elevators and more. The robot has an empty compartment on top in case you asked for toiletries or some food, and has a seven-inch touchscreen to interact with you.

The hotel boasts 3D TVs and touch pad controls for lighting, floor-to-ceiling curtains as well as temperature. Every room comes with an iPad for guests, and the bathrooms are equipped with smart-glass technology.

The Peninsula Hotel, Tokyo



It is considered to be one of the most advanced hotels in the country. Guests can enjoy a nail polish dryer, and internet radio with more than 3,000 stations. Each room comes with a mood lighting pad and wireless phones with video conference capability.

CityHub offers affordable, futuristic sleeping pods for digital natives. It offers 50 tiny sleeping units, a 'digital' lobby, and an app that controls lighting and familiarises travellers with the city. Guests have an ondemand, round-the-clock live digital concierge service.
