Wedding time at Nishar residence?

Those in the know in corporate circles say there is an east meets west union in the making. Kolkata-based veteran stock broker, Utsav Parekh, and Mumbai’s Atul Nishar, the founder of Aptech Computers and Hexaware Technologies, will soon become family. Sources on the invitee list reveal that a do is being planned for September 30 when the engagement of Saharsh, Parekh’s younger son, and Devangi, Nishar’s younger daughter, could well be announced.

The wedding is scheduled for late January or early February next year and might be held overseas. Saharsh did not confirm or deny the rumour. "It is a private matter and I wouldn’t want to comment on it," he told ETPanache in response to questions about the engagement.

Destination weddings are a tradition for the Parekhs. Saharsh’s elder brother, Samarth, married Niyati, Praful Patel’s daughter, in Udaipur a few years ago.

Parekh is a coowner of Atlético de Kolkata, an ISL franchise. Saharsh, a football enthusiast, holds a directorial position in it. Devangi, a Wharton graduate, works with her mother Alka’s designer boutique chain, Aza Fashions.
