Wedding bells! After Olympic win, Sakshi Malik ready to put a ring on it

Immediately after she won a bronze medal in wrestling at the Rio Olympics, there were reports about Sakshi Malik getting married to fellow wrestler, Satyawart Kadian.

Sakshi’s mother, however, denied the reports. But when we contacted Sakshi about her impending wedding, she admitted, “It is true that Satyawart and I are getting married, but there is time for that. Of course, the family elders will take a joint call on the wedding dates, but it will not happen in a hurry. One thing is for sure – I will not quit wrestling after marriage. In fact, my resolution to take my game to another level has been strengthened more than ever now.”

Sakshi’s beau Satyawart has been more forthcoming when it comes to expressing his feelings. In a telephonic conversation, he said, “We have been seeing each other for the past four years. But we have left the decision of wedding dates etc, to our respective parents. Both Sakshi and I work for the Northern Railway and along with our passion for wrestling, there are so many common interests that we share, including our love for Bollywood films. I really adore Sakshi’s positive outlook and sensitivity. She is such a soft-spoken girl, who is a perfect life partner for me. Both of us practice wrestling together and we really want to make our presence felt in Tokyo Olympics 2020.”
