DELHI: Delhiites take a bite of the Indian captain Virat Kohli, literally!

Unveiling of the cricketer's much-awaited wax statue turned into a disaster as fans thronged in large numbers to the Madame Tussauds for selfies on Wednesday.

An official of the wax museum confirmed that a right ear of the sportstar's statue was chipped, and was sent for repairs immediately, according to media reports.



However, the official also mentioned the statue was repaired and ready for public viewing in no time.

Kohli's wax statue, posing in his signature batting style, joined other sports sensations in the interactive zone.

During the sitting sessions, the batsman's figure was crafted from over 200 measurements and photographs, making it look near perfect.


At the unveiling of his figure, Kohli said, "I sincerely appreciate the efforts and incredible work undergone in making my figure". "Thanks you, Madame Tussauds for choosing me for this lifetime experience. I am grateful to my fans for their love and support," he added.

He also shared his excitement with the Viratians on social media about his wax statue.
