Cops rule out foul play. say Satish Kaushik died of cardiac arrest
A woman recently claimed her husband murdered the Bollywood veteran.

A Delhi resident has alleged that the ‘Mr. India’ actor’s death was caused by foul play, not natural causes.
According to a TOI report, a woman claimed that her husband, a Delhi-based businessman, murdered the veteran actor-director.
She alleged that the late actor had loaned her husband a sum of Rs 15 crore and was seeking repayment. But the latter claimed he lost the money during the pandemic.
However, the police have reportedly ruled out the possibility of foul play as the autopsy report confirmed the ‘ Brick Lane’ actor had died from a cardiac arrest. A source close to the Delhi Police, told ETimes, that the complaint filed by the woman cannot be verified. Kaushik’s family has not replied to the allegations.
"As per the inquiry conducted so far, Kaushik, along with his manager Santosh Rai came to Delhi on March 8, and stayed at the residence of his friend Vikas Malu at A-5 Pushpanjali in Bijwasan," told Rajeev Kumar, the Additional DCP (southwest Delhi) to TOI.
Rai told TOI that the celebrations ended at 3:00 pm. "Around 9:00, Kaushik took dinner, and after walking, he went to his bedroom and watched some movie clips on his iPad," Rai told TOI.
As per the TOI report, a thorough search was conducted at Malu's home but "nothing suspicious or objectionable was found at the spot, or from the room of the victim."
The autopsy report said death was caused by "coronary artery blockage associated with coronary artery diseases and the manner of death appears to be natural."
The actor passed away on March 9, just a day after Holi. His sudden death left shock waves throughout the film fraternity, as just the day before, Kaushik had uploaded photos of him celebrating Holi with fervor. His long-time friend, actor Anupam Kher shared the news of his demise on Twitter.
