In a light-hearted moment from a past interview, Samantha Ruth Prabhu once teasingly revealed who she considered Naga Chaitanya's 'first wife'. The actress, known for her candidness, made these comments on Lakshmi Manchu’s chat show "Feet Up With The Stars (Telugu)" back in 2019. Reflecting on their relationship, Samantha humorously disclosed that Chaitanya was "married to his pillow."

“Pillow is the first wife to Chaitanya,” she said with a laugh. “Even if I have to kiss, the pillow is always between us. And now it’s enough, I guess I have said a lot of things.”

At that time, Samantha also praised Chaitanya, referring to him as 'husband material'. She reminisced about their early days, saying, “Chay has seen me from nothing. I remember I didn’t have money to make a call to my mother from the US. I took his phone and made a call home. Chay has seen me from that to this, so how can it be anybody else, right?”

These images were shared by Chaitanya's father, the veteran actor Nagarjuna, who expressed his immense joy and pride over the union.

In her past interview, Samantha also revealed details about their life together before marriage, sharing that they were in a live-in relationship. “We were in a live-in relationship before getting married,” she mentioned, highlighting their close bond and shared experiences.
