'War' was made with the hope to give India its biggest original action spectacle and the entire team is ecstatic to get the desired result at the box office".
"When you have two of the biggest action superstars in your film, you would want your film to over deliver on audience expectations and make a big statement. We are overwhelmed that 'War' has become a must-watch film for the entire country. It is a moment to treasure and celebrate for all of us," he added.
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who became 2019's fourth highest-paid actor in the world according to Forbes, is winning hearts with his performance in 'Mission Mangal'.
Apart from his highest grossing film so far, the other movies have kept the cash registers ringing for the past few years.
From 'Kesari' to 'Housefull' series, 12 of Kumar's movies have entered the Rs 100-crore club, and taken the box office by storm.
