Want to indulge in luxury? Get Karl Lagerfeld's $2,850 colouring box
First the colour of money. Clearly, fashion’s high priest, haute couturier Karl Lagerfeld had that hue in mind when he designed his own set of colour pencils. Recognising that the craze for adult colouring books is here to stay awhile, Lagerfeld, who probably figured that book-making was not his style, instead collaborated with Faber-Castell on a colouring box priced at $2,850.

The KarlBox holds 350 different tools for sketching, drawing, colouring, and painting, including the 120-piece Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer line favoured by the designer. Under its lid is a silhouette of Lagerfeld himself. The box seems to have drawn inspiration from the Chinese wedding chest.

The set is being retailed only at select high-end stores at the moment. But apart from the price tag, what makes it exclusive is that only 2,500 are being created for the market.
