Randstad Insights’ report also reveals that professionals from the IT industry command the highest salaries.
If you work in Bangalore, good for you! The city has the highest average annual CTC for talent across junior (INR 5.27 lakhs), mid (INR 16.45 lakhs) and senior (INR 35.45 lakhs) levels, according to the Randstad Insights Salary Trends Report 2019. Bangalore topped the list in the 2017 & 2018 Salary Trends report as well.

Hyderabad (INR 5 lakhs) & Mumbai (INR 4.59 lakhs) take second and third spot for junior level roles, Mumbai (INR 15.07 lakhs) & the National Capital Region (INR 14.5 lakhs) for mid-level roles and Mumbai (INR 33.95 lakhs) & Pune (INR 32.68 lakhs) for senior roles respectively.

Randstad Insights’ report also reveals that professionals from the IT industry command the highest salaries - the sector stands first for highest average annual CTCs paid at the Junior (INR 4.96 lakhs) and Senior (INR 35.84 lakhs).


With the demand for GST compliance specialists, accountants, management consultants and lawyers on the rise, the Professional Services sector ranked as the second highest paying sector for junior and senior levels, while topping the salaries for mid-level (INR 15.3 lakhs) professionals.

Presenting the details of the report, Paul Dupuis, MD & CEO, Randstad India said, "Against the backdrop of the current economic growth scenario, this report comes as an eye opener for both companies and professionals on building their talent pools and competencies. A period of stasis is the best time to push pause, reset the priorities and build towards future proofing of the organization. Talent with the ‘right-fit’ skills commands a significant premium over their peers and companies are not constrained by bell curves and averages when it comes to the salary structure for professionals with in-demand skills; evidenced by the findings of this report”.
