When asked about it during his recent visit to Mumbai, the icon said that the key is in blending old school and new trends seamlessly. “Even though I am old school, I can associate myself with new trends,” he said. Commenting on the fashion choices of young sports stars today, Richards said, “Fashion has changed dramatically over the years. When I see the money that people are earning today, I think it gives you an opportunity to have a decent wardrobe. Everyone looks very classy these days,” However, he gives credit where it is due. “Having said that, I think each person brings in their own little jig to the party too, with their distinctive styles,” he added.
