Vivek Oberoi recently revealed what Dubai is like amid ongoing war
Actor and entrepreneur Vivek Oberoi, who runs a thriving business network in Dubai, recently addressed concerns surrounding the escalating tensions in the Middle East amid the ongoing Israel–Iran conflict. The Bollywood star is presently in India working on the film Spirit, a project being directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. During a recent conversation with Firstpost, Oberoi rejected the widespread perception that the regional conflict has significantly disrupted commercial activity in Dubai. Instead, he emphasized that the city’s economic environment continues to move forward with resilience, with companies steadily adjusting their strategies to match changing circumstances.

Discussing the situation, Oberoi explained that despite the global attention focused on the conflict, everyday life and business operations in Dubai remain stable. According to him, while international observers often assume the crisis has created widespread disruption, the actual situation in the city tells a different story. Markets remain lively, workplaces are filled with energy, and the entrepreneurial community continues to operate with confidence. He suggested that the city has not merely maintained its economic rhythm but has accelerated its pace, with enterprises adapting to evolving conditions rather than retreating from them. In his view, Dubai has grown into a model of progress and reliability on the world stage, demonstrating how a strong sense of direction can help businesses thrive even when the broader geopolitical climate appears uncertain.

Oberoi also addressed questions about safety concerns for residents, including himself and his family. He explained that many people outside the region often misinterpret the country’s careful security measures as signs of anxiety. However, he described the reality as a well-structured and advanced safety system designed to ensure protection for everyone living in the country. He praised the leadership of the United Arab Emirates, saying its governance promotes unity and collective stability rather than division during uncertain times. This coordinated security framework, he said, allows both citizens and expatriates to continue their personal and professional lives without disruption.

However, a separate development briefly drew attention to the city’s security environment. According to a report by The Indian Express, a significant blaze erupted close to Dubai International Airport after a drone struck a fuel storage tank in the vicinity. The incident led authorities to temporarily halt flight operations as emergency teams responded to the situation. Despite such isolated incidents, Oberoi maintains that Dubai continues to function with remarkable stability and adaptability.
