Vishal Gupta takes a break from the corner office to play tennis with Bharat Puri, Patrik Antoni

After long hours in the boardroom, a good game of tennis is what Vishal Gupta, the CEO of Momspresso, looks forward to. Giving him company on the court are often other bosses, who leave their corner offices to play ball too. Gupta found one such tennis partner in Pidilite MD Bharat Puri. “As a management trainee in Asian Paints many years ago, I had the pleasure of playing with Bharat Puri.

It was great fun. The best part about it was that there was no hierarchy, just a shared passion for the sport,” Gupta says.

Challenging Gupta on the court of late is deputy country manager, IKEA, Patrik Antoni. “We used to have Sunday sessions in peak Delhi summers. Despite being Swedish, he dealt with the heat a lot better than I did,” Gupta said with a laugh.
