VIROSH wedding: PM Narendra Modi sends warm blessings to Rashmika Mandanna, Vijay Deverakonda and parents ahead of D-day

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are all set to tie the knot tomorrow (February 26). The pre-wedding festivities have already kicked off in Udaipur. Earlier, the couple confirmed their wedding date and shared behind-the-scenes glimpses on their social media platforms. Amid the wedding buzz, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has responded to the invitation sent by Vijay Deverakonda’s parents.

According to Hyderabad Times, PM Modi sent his warm blessings to the couple in a message addressed to Deverakonda’s parents, Madhavi and Shri Goverdhan Rao. He wrote, "It is a pleasure to be invited by you to the wedding of Vijay and Rashmika to be held on 26 February 2026. Heartiest congratulations and greetings to the Deverakonda and Mandanna families on this truly joyous and auspicious occasion."



He further added, "It marks the beginning of a new, beautiful chapter in the lives of Vijay and Rashmika. With the spirit of sakha saptpada bhava, meaning having taken seven steps together, the couple become friends for life. Neither Vijay, nor Rashmika is new to scripts in their films. But this divinely scripted chapter of their real lives, filled with love and affection, will surely outshine the magic they have created on the silver screen."

The wedding is quite intimate. On Tuesday (February 25), the first guests arrived at the venue. From director-actor Tharun Bhascker to Eesha Rebba and Shravya Varma to Ashika Ranganath , Rahul Ravindran and others were also spotted at Udaipur airport. According to several reports, the guest list is going to include around 100 invitees.

The couple has also been sharing pictures on their Instagram handles. Rashmika Mandanna’s Instagram Story showcased a tablescape decorated with blush pink lilies, green hydrangeas, fresh green apples and grapes. Meanwhile, Vijay posted a snapshot of a lively game of pool volleyball with friends.

For the unversed, Rashmika and Vijay reportedly had an intimate engagement ceremony in Hyderabad in October last year and are now set to marry in Udaipur on February 26. The duo has shared screen space in two notable Telugu films, Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019). Over the years, they have carved their own niche in the industry.
