Virat Kohli turns philosopher in lap of nature, shares pictures with Anushka Sharma from vacation

NEW DELHI: It's a special week for Team India skipper Virat Kohli. The 31-year-old cricketer has been spending quality time with his better-half Anushka Sharma in the hilly terrain with an amazing picturesque landscape.

On Thursday, King Kohli, who is also known as the Run Machine, shared two pictures with Sharma on Twitter, and said he was grateful to be surrounded by nature. In his philosophical post, he wrote, "When you get a chance to come close to the beauty of nature, thoughts cease and you become one with the moment and merge with the divine energy."



The right-handed batsman celebrated his 31st birthday on Tuesday in the lap of nature with his 'soulmate'. Thanking his fans for the birthday wishes, Kohli had said that it was a blessing to 'visit such divine places with my soulmate'.


Earlier, Kohli's actress-wife had shared a birthday post on Instagram with a few pictures from their trip. She called him her friend, confidante, and her one true love. She also emphasised that his compassion makes him a good leader.

According to reports by TOI, the couple were on a Bhutan holiday to celebrate the cricketer's birthday week. A day before Kohli's birthday, Sharma penned her beautiful experience in a detailed post on the photo-sharing app with a few pictures.

In her post, she documented her experience of pure human connection when she met a 'warm' family during her 8.5 km uphill trek. She said that she also fed a four-month-old calf that belonged to the family. The couple, who was not recognised by the family, was offered a cup of tea, warmth and love. "The whole time they just know us as two tired trekkers," she wrote.

She concluded her post with a message. "It fills us with such joy and peace knowing that they just wanted to be kind to two random foreigners (plus our guide) without seeking anything in return. If this is not the true meaning of life, then I dont know what is. A memory we will cherish forever," her post read.

Today , during our 8.5 km uphill trek we stopped by a small village on a mountain to pet and feed a baby calf who was born just 4 months ago . While we did that the owner of the house asked us if we were tired and wanted to have a cup of tea ? So we went in to the home of this beautiful and warm family who had absolutely no idea who we were and yet they treated us with such warmth and love . We spent some time with them chatting and drinking tea and the whole time they just know us as two tired trekkers ! Whoever knows virat and me very closely, know that both of us live for such moments of genuine , simple & pure human connection . It fills us with such joy and peace knowing that they just wanted to be kind to two random foreigners ( plus our guide ) without seeking anything in return. If this is not the true meaning of life then i dont know what is . A memory we will cherish forever 🙏💜✨
