Heading to London
“Yes, I am. Unfortunately, I didn’t see the India vs Pakistan match. But I’m hoping to catch the one after that.”

Predictions for World Cup 2019
“I think India will be in the semi-finals, as will the West Indies. Not many are expecting West Indies to get that far, but I have a feeling the time has come for this team.”


Favourite cricketer from this World Cup
“It has to be Virat Kohli. He has put an amazing team together. They are all charged up. Team India completely dominated the Australians in their previous match. One hasn’t seen that happen in such a long time.”

Favourite cricket possession
“I don’t collect cricket memorabilia as such. I have the Indian team jersey from the last World Cup and a couple of caps. But that’s all.”

Favourite World Cup memory
“It has to be the 1983 World Cup, with Kapil Dev and Co. beating the mighty West Indies to lift the cup. I was studying in the US then, so I didn’t get to see the match live. But I heard a lot about it and have seen so many video clips since.”
