College students stranded in sea with SUVs
In a reckless attempt to film a reel, Two college students from Bhadreshwar in Mundra town, Gujarat, have found themselves in legal trouble after driving their Mahindra Thar SUVs into the sea in an attempt to create a viral video. Karan Sorathiya (23) and Paresh Sorathiya (23) were booked by the Mundra marine police following an incident where their vehicles got stuck in the high tide waters.

Viral Video: Risky Reel Attempt

The video, which was shared on social media and quickly went viral, shows the two Thar SUVs submerged on Bhadreshwar beach. While one vehicle had its tires underwater, the other was partially submerged in the high tide. The clip also captures the two men trying to lift the submerged Thar in an effort to retrieve it from the water.

According to Sub-Inspector Narendra Jadeja of the Mundra Marine police station, the incident occurred when the students were driving their vehicles on the crowded beach, engaging in stunts and splashing water on bystanders. The video, which gained traction on social media platforms, was recorded 15 days prior to its viral spread.

Rescue Efforts and Legal Ramifications

Due to the high tide, the vehicles became stuck and submerged in water, prompting the students to seek help from nearby villagers. "The people from a nearby village used a tractor to pull out the two vehicles from the water," shared Sub-Inspector Jadeja.

Authorities have detained one of the drivers for questioning and have charged both Karan and Paresh with reckless driving and endangering lives. The incident serves as a cautionary tale about the risks associated with attempting dangerous stunts for the sake of social media content.
