Vijay Mallya urges people to celebrate national curry week and Twitterati loses its cool

Vijay Mallya, a man in a soup, urged people to eat curry recently. As the United Kingdom observed the solemn tradition of National Curry Week from October 22-28, the alleged loan defaulter urged people to dig in.

“To celebrate #nationalcurryweek why not visit your local Indian restaurant tonight!” said Mallya, former chairman of the UB Group and somebody with a special talent for bad hairstyles. Twitter responded by lobbing egg on Mallya’s face .



There were metaphorical chillies as well. And tomatoes, curry leaves and cilantro stalks. Mixed together with thick skin, which Mallya and his coterie are blessed with, it can make a pretty good curry. Mallya could tuck into it with his gold cutlery, and then sing and dance to ‘Oo La La Le O’.

Local is the fad word in the food industry and one Twitter user recommended Mallya a dish so rooted that no Michelin guide or freeloading food writer has yet written about it – the zunka bhakar in Mumbai prisons.

Another said, “How about chor bazaar in London?” He likely meant Chor Bizarre, a famous eatery in the English capital . One guy on Twitter had a succinct reminder for Mallya — “Sir, woh…paise.” And another one said, “Jhandu baba ji jai ho.”

Ingredients
Thick skin, egg, tomatoes, chillies, weed, salt, government notices

Preparation
Wipe egg off face with government notice and collect in a frying pan. In a pot, mix alcohol, water, tomatoes, chillies, turmeric, garlic and all that. Let everything mix and simmer. Check what son is up to. Not much, right? Too bad. Have a drink. Tweet about how you are a victim and how you can’t watch Formula 1 races live. Fry egg. Add pieces of thick skin. Mix everything with curry. Garnish with shredded government notice. Enjoy.
