Vijay Deverakonda wants to 'slap Aurangzeb and the Britishers' if he could go back to history, after watching Chhaava

Vijay Deverakonda, known for his unapologetic and bold personality, recently made waves with his fiery response during a pre-release event in Hyderabad. The actor, who was attending the event as the guest of honour for Suriya's upcoming film Retro, took the crowd by surprise when he shared an intense reaction to the historical film Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal and Akshaye Khanna. The film, which depicts the fierce resistance of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj against the Mughal empire, had a profound impact on Deverakonda, leaving him emotionally charged and, in his own words, enraged.

When asked by the host, Suma, which historical figure he would like to meet if he could travel back in time, Vijay didn’t mince words. Instead of offering a diplomatic answer, he expressed a strong desire to confront the British and other historical figures. Reflecting on the powerful emotions the film stirred in him, Vijay shared that he would want to meet Aurangzeb. not to converse, but to deliver a few tight slaps. He even mentioned that his anger from the film made him feel like confronting others in history as well, stating that right now, the only thing on his mind was to slap these figures.

While Vijay’s candid response left the audience amused, Suriya, who was also on stage, had a much calmer take on the question. When asked about a historical figure he would like to meet, Suriya revealed that he couldn’t think of anyone he particularly missed from the past.
