Shoppers Stop MD Govind Shrikhande confident that offline shopping is here to stay
The glut of online players is no cause for concern, yet, he feels.

Speaking at an event in Mumbai recently, Shrikhande shed some light on the distribution of business in both the mediums. “People say online is the future, but the fact is that a big chunk of retail happens in brick and mortar stores, both in the US and in India also,” said Shrikhande.
In fact, he went on to state that the trend will continue for the next couple of years at least, even though he did admit that the future does belong to the virtual world. So, shop till you drop. The store isn’t going anywhere, yet.
