Veteran actor Om Puri passed away at the age of 66, on Friday morning, due to a severe cardiac arrest.

Born on 18 October 1950, the actor was known for his outstanding performances in not just Indian but also Pakistani, British, and Hollywood movies.

Puri had been awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award of India.

Condolences poured in for the actor on social media, starting from PM Modi to the film and sports fraternity.
