Versa 2 smartwatch becomes unresponsive after Fitbit rolls out software update

Google, too, got bit by the smartwatch bug as it launched its first-ever device at the ‘Made By Google’ event. The Google Pixel Watch, from what we saw at the launch, looks quite stylish, and has a host of health features that can make the Apple Watch 8 give a run for its money.

A round-shaped dial with an always-on display, the Google watch works with Pixel and other Android phones as well. It has a diameter of 41 mm, a height of 12.3 mm and weighs 36 grams without the band.

For Google fans in India, the price of the smartwatch is yet to be made public. The Bluetooth variant starts at $349 (roughly Rs 28,600), while the LTE variant costs $399 (around Rs 32,700) in the US.

The Google Pixel Watch comes with dozens of several wristband options including woven, two-tone leather and stretch versions.

Google’s smartwatch gives a fillip to its sustainability goals. The tech giant claims that the Pixel Watch is made with 80 per cent recycled stainless steel. It comes in three color options- champagne gold, matte black and polished silver.

Powered by a Samsung Exynos 9110 SoC, the watch comes with a built-in microphone and built-in speaker. The all-new Google Pixel Watch has 2GC SDRAM and 32GB storage capacity and runs WearOS 3.5.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz and NFC support. The Google Pixel Watch is compatible with Android 8.0 or newer versions, but will not work with an iPhone.

The watch’s display comes with custom 3D Corning Gorilla Glass and an AMOLED display with 320 ppu and up to 1,000 nits. Not to forget, it also boasts of an always-on display.

Google held 'Made by Google' event on Thursday where it launched its all-new products, the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro and the company's first smartwatch, the Pixel Watch. The tech giant also teased its upcoming product, the Pixel Tablet.

After a long wait, Google launched the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro in India. Powered by Google's next-generation Tensor G2 processor, the smartphones come packed with Android 13. Both the devices will be available for purchase starting October 13, Google said.

The Pixel 7 Pro comes with improved Real Tone and Cinematic Blur. The smartphone flaunts a 6.3-inch display, whereas the Pixel 7 Pro comes with 6.7-inch Smooth Display that intelligently adjusts up to 120 Hz.

Google claims that the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are the most secure and private Pixel phones yet. With Google Tensor G2 and the Titan M2 security chip, the Google Pixel 7 phones are built with multiple layers of security, the company said.

The new Pixel phones may come packed with amazing features and tech, but it won't be light on your pocket. Google launched the Pixel 7 at a starting price of Rs 59,999, while the Pixel 7 Pro is available at Rs 84,999.

Apart from the two smartphones, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, Google also launched its first smartwatch, the Pixel Watch which runs on WearOS and comes with several Fitbit health features.

At 'Made by Google' launch event, the tech giant also teased its Pixel Tablet, which has been coming since I/O. The new Pixel Tablet, which is designed to be the last major addition to the Pixel family, will arrive official next year. The Pixel Tablet runs on Android featuring Material You.

The Google Pixel Tablet will also be powered by the same Tensor G2 chip as the new Pixel 7 smartphones.
