Vedhika to play 60-year-old woman in her next film

We had recently reported that Vedhika is a part of debutant director Victor Jayaraj’s film, Vinodhan, which is produced by Prabhu Deva. Now, we hear that the actress will be playing a 60-year-old woman in some segments of the film, which is a psychological romantic drama.

A source close to the team says, "As the title suggests, Vedhika’s characterisation in the film will be peculiar. The transition in her looks — from that of a school girl to a 60-year-old woman — will be interesting. We are not going to bring in any famous makeup artist to change her looks; instead, we are going to show her as an aged person subtly without altering her features so much. She will not even be using a wig for the transition."

The source adds, "Despite being busy with her other films’ shoots, Vedhika is taking up virtual acting workshops for the role. Director Victor Jayaraj is teaching the actors through Skype as the script is a demanding one for actors." The shoot of the film will begin this month. Isari Velan’s grandson Varun will play the male lead.
