Vedanta boss' Karwa Chauth special celebrations with wife Kiran

It was a special Karwa Chauth for Anil Agarwal.

Calling it a memorable day, the Vedanta Resources Executive Chairman took to Twitter to share his special moments from Karwa Chauth celebrations.

Amazed by the determination of women, the 67-year-old businessman said that the "festival symbolises the indomitable will of women to overcome any challenge".


He also shared two adorable pictures with his wife Kiran Agarwal.

On this day, he prayed for health and happiness to mothers, sisters and daughters.

"May the almighty bless all mothers, sisters and daughters with happiness & good health," he wrote.


Agarwal often likes to share glimpses of his family with around 98.3K followers on the micro-blogging site.

Earlier in September, the mining boss had posted an adorable tribute to his daughter and grand-daughter on Daughters' Day, calling them the beacons of light in his life.

From Janmashtami and Ganesh Chaturthi to Dussehra, he has been posting images with his wife.

In March 2019, Mrs Agarwal was appointed as Hindustan Zinc's Additional Director and Chairman after the resignation of Agnivesh Agarwal.

As philanthropic arm Vedanta Foundation's trustee, she pursues her passion for social causes which include issues related to children and women. She is also on the board of Agarwal Galvanising Private Limited.

Karwa Chauth is one of the important festivals primarily celebrated in North and North eastern states.

Married women observe fast from sunrise to moonrise, praying for safety and long lives of their husbands, to celebrate the Hindu festival.
