Vantage point: Vijay Mallya is still 'the king of good times'

It looks like Vijay Mallya is still living up to his self-appointed title as the king of good times. Mallya spent Sunday at the Warwickshire Suite at Edgbaston’s VIP facility, which is plush to say the least.

The facility, which is described as an “ultra-exclusive luxury suite”, is regarded as a prestigious destination.

So, what did Mallya enjoy? A panoramic view of the cricket pitch, a theatrestyle kitchen, an open plan restaurant area, and a stylish lounge. Adorning the walls were sepia-toned pictures of cricketers as well as black and white images of the Edgbaston Cricket Ground logo. The décor is done in muted tones of blue and white and accents of steel grey.

And of course there is food — the Warwickshire Suite hospitality packages typically includes a premium inclusive bar, four-course à la carte lunch, afternoon tea and evening snacks all carefully served by the hostesses.

Located on the third floor in the main stand of the £32 million redeveloped section of the stadium, the Warwickshire Suite has natural daylight with floor-to-ceiling windows and a premium padded match seat in the balcony.
