US Ambassador Richard Verma apologises to SRK, says it won't ever happen again
Earlier on Thursday, the actor was detained at the LA airport for questioning by the US immigration department.

He said that the actor's work inspires millions, including those who live in the United States.

Earlier on Thursday, the actor was detained at the Los Angeles airport for questioning by the US immigration department.
This is the third time in seven years that he has been stopped by US immigration officials at the country's airports.
Following the detention, the actor took to Twitter to express his disappointment.
I fully understand & respect security with the way the world is, but to be detained at US immigration every damn time really really sucks.

Nisha Desai Biswal, the Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia in the US Department of State, also apologised for the "hassle" that Khan had faced at the airport.
