Upen Patel may play Narain Karthikeyan in ace F1 driver's biopic

There has been speculation in the Tamil film industry that a biopic on India's first Formula One racer Narain Karthikeyan is in the works. BT has now learnt that the project is indeed on the cards and that the script has also been locked in. It is believed that the film will be produced by the makers of Rajinikanth's 'Robot 2.0', Subaskaran Allirajah. While it is being conceptualised in the South, this will be a Hindi movie.

We also learned that Bollywood actor Upen Patel, who's currently working on a Tamil film, has been approached for the biopic. When we contacted the actor, he confirmed the news and said, "I was approached to play the role of Narain Karthikeyan in the biopic, but I haven't even read the script yet. I haven't made up my mind and will take a final call on the basis of the script." If this project comes through, it will be a major highlight in the actor's career.
