UP Police does a ‘Chellam Sir’ on advisory, 'The Family Man 2' director duo, Manoj Bajpayee show their love

A clever meme fest has taken off on the Internet involving the character 'Chellam Sir' after his first appearance on the web series 'The Family Man' which stars Manoj Bajpayee and Samantha Akkineni in pivotal roles. People have been sharing their funny take on the scene, and now the Uttar Pradesh Police, too, has something to add.

The official Twitter handle of the UP Police on Wednesday came up with a "24/7 solution for every family in crisis" while sharing a detailed guide to avoid scammers.



The tweet garnered a lot of attention on the micro-blogging site, including Bajpayee's, who plays the protagonist named Srikant Tiwari in the web drama. In a tweet, the actor replied to the police saying, “Chellum sir is a Rockstar!!!”



Action thriller 'The Family Man', which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video, follows the journey of a middle-class man, who also happens to be an elite spy, as he tries to juggle his responsibilities as a family man and his work as a government official.

The show's creator-duo Raj and DK also took note of the Uttar Pradesh Police's wit and applauded their sense of humour.


As the meme received positive response from netizens, the UP Police on Thursday dropped another sass-bomb. This time, a video clip of a scene from the series, but with a twist.

In the short clip, the character called ‘Chellam Sir’ is seen receiving a call from Tiwari, who asks for an OTP as a scamming trick. But Chellam sir knows better and disconnects the call saying "wrong number".



The tweet has so far generated over 1.3K likes with fans calling the person behind the video edit "smartest guy ever seen", whereas another Twitter user applauded the person handling the Uttar Pradesh Police's social media account.
