The escalating divorce speculation between Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma sparks interest, fueled by Chahal's T-shirt choice and Verma's new music release. In a video, Uorfi Javed condemns the biased mindset against women in high-profile di...

During a recent round table discussion, Uorfi Javed criticized the prevailing mindset in India when it comes to divorces, especially involving public figures. She pointed out how cricketers are often idolized to the extent that they are seen as incapable of any wrongdoing. Without mentioning any names, she highlighted how people tend to assume the worst about women in such situations, often portraying them as villains for ending a marriage.
She emphasized that the public rarely knows the full story behind a couple’s separation. Yet, judgments are quickly made, usually favouring the man, particularly if he is wealthy and successful. In contrast, the woman is often assumed to be financially dependent, with baseless accusations of opportunism following her every step.
Further challenging this narrative, Uorfi questioned why a successful cricketer, capable of making crucial life decisions, would choose a partner if he truly believed she was after his wealth. She argued that if such a choice was made knowingly, then the responsibility should be shared, rather than placing all the blame on the woman.
