Sonali Bendre, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment in New York, has had a quiet and 'unconventional' Diwali this year. Posting a picture of Diwali celebrations with husband Goldie Behl and son Ranveer, the actress wrote that festive greetings were delayed, thanks to the time difference between New York and Mumbai.

In a break from past tradition, this year's celebration for the actress was low-key. Sharing a few images in which she is seen lighting candles and offering prayers with her family, the 43-year-old wrote that, "It was quite an unconventional one... We didn't have Indian clothes, we had a small puja... But it was all heart."

Earlier this week, she shared a picture with actress Priyanka Chopra and Neetu Kapoor at PeeCee's bridal shower.

Bendre, who was diagnosed with metastatic cancer in July this year, has been undergoing treatment in New York. Recently she shared that her ability to read had slowed down due to her vision being affected temporarily, following chemotherapy.
