'Ugly' and 'Bombay Velvet' will change the yardstick of my success: Anurag Kashyap
When one speaks of success with Anurag Kashyap, it is never in quantifiable terms. The terrific filmmaker believes that a film's success is best understood by the appreciation it receives and yes, it must recover it's investment.

Kashyap, when asked about Lootera's box office response last year, responded, "Lootera could have never got the opening of a Chennai Express. If I expect that, I am an idiot. It's a failure of my expectation. Lootera was a success. The film received positive reviews unanimously and it recovered its investment. That's not all. Besides Balaji, even Phantom made profit on that film."

But Anurag's personal success is always measured by masses on yardstick of Gangs of Wasseypur, which has been his highest grossing film till date. Kashyap, with a sure smile emphasized, "After Ugly and Bombay Velvet, the yardstick of my success will change. I am waiting for Ugly's release and more for May 19 next year. The world has no idea what we have made!"

After we sneaked a look of Bombay Velvet, which was simply top notch, there is no doubt that what Anurag is expecting is inevitable!
