Social media can make or break a person. And, Piyush Pandey has a great advice for people to win social media.

The Chief Creative Officer (Worldwide) of Ogilvy, who said that he can get jailed for his strong opinions, believes it is better to wait 15 minutes before posting anything out on social media.

The Padma Shri awardee also added that he is not active on social media, and it is always better to share views face-to-face.

“Not at all. If I were, I’d be in jail (laughs). A lot of youngsters look up to me. I don’t want to disappoint them [just] because I have a strong opinion that [maybe] offended someone or made them unhappy. If I’m not saying it to that person face-to-face, why say it all? My advice to youngsters is to type it out and wait 15 minutes before you post. Otherwise you are just being trigger happy and will wake up the next day wondering what happened. It’s why you see so many people apologising [on social media]. My advice, type it out, wait, maybe drink a glass of water and then tweet or post.”
