The social media platform has confirmed that it is currently testing a new feature called 'CoTweets' that will let two different Twitter accounts to co-author a single tweet. Both the accounts will be tagged in the same tweet as part of the collaboration.
"Now testing CoTweets, a new way to Tweet together," Twitter posted sharing the feature news alongside a video explainer.
"Two voices are louder than one," the micro-blogging platform said.
The upcoming feature will enable users to invite another Twitter user so they can contribute for the content in a single tweet. The 'CoTweets' feature will allow users to share credit for the content that they create together.
This new feature, which is currently in the testing stage and available for a select group of users, will help brands spread their reach further as more than one influencer will get attached to the content and share it with their audience. Meanwhile, this will also maintain authenticity of original content and help other users who share the work done by someone else by tagging the respective person and giving credit to them on Twitter.

How 'CoTweets' Works:
It's a simple process with basic steps. The 'CoTweets' feature works the same as tweeting a normal post. Only here, users need to click on the CoTweet icon in order to send an invite to another Twitter account to co-author the same post.
However, for the collaboration to work, both the accounts need to have a public account and follow each other. For now, one account can 'CoTweet' or in simple term – collaborate – with only one Twitter account at the same time.
